What is the difference between a juicer and a blender?
It is often thought a juicer and a blender does the same job. As a result, there is lots of confusion as to what the difference between a juicer and a blender is. So, what’s best to turn fruit and veg into a healthy, tasty juice?
A juicer and a blender will both process fruit and veg into a delicious, nutritious drink. What separates the two is quite literal. A juicer separates the fibre from the rest of the fruit or vegetable, leaving only the juice for you to drink. The remaining fibre and pulp are thrown away. Using a juicer means you can pack more fruit and veggies into your drink equating to more vitamins and nutrients, as well as being easier for your body to digest.
A blender processes the whole fruit and veg, fibre included. This means you get a thicker drink (more of a smoothie) which takes your body slightly longer to digest. You get all the nutrients of the fruit and veg you put in, though they are released more slowly. Due to the thicker consistency, your appetite is better satisfied and you’ll feel fuller for longer.
