Homemade Vegetable Crisps

Craving some crisps? You won’t believe how easy it is to make this homemade vegetable version. Crunchy, flavourful and full of goodness: these vegetable crisps pack a tasty punch.

Vegetable Crisps


2 large parsnips
2 large carrots
½ butternut squash
2 beetroots
Olive oil


  1. Prep your air fryer or pre-heat a conventional oven to 170 - 180°C
  2. Thinly slice all vegetables using a mandolin slicer or a sharp knife
  3. Dry slices as thoroughly as possible using a paper towel
  4. Place the dried slices into a large bowl and add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil, a pinch of salt and mix until all slices are fully coated
  5. Place slices into your air fryer or onto a large non-stick baking tray, keeping each vegetable separate
  6. In your air fryer: cook for 90 seconds, toss, then cook for a further 90 seconds. In a conventional oven: cook for 7 - 10 minutes, or until each vegetable is golden and cooked through
  7. Allow vegetable crisps to cool then enjoy
