Teppanyaki Grilled Prawns with Mediterranean Salad

Teppanyaki Grilled Prawns



  • 500g fresh jumbo king prawns
  • 200g feta cheese, cubed
  • 150g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • A quarter of a watermelon, cubed
  • Handful each of spinach, rocket and red leaf lettuce

For the prawn marinade

  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 large red chilli, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin



  1. In a large bowl, mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl; submerge each prawn in the mix and place on a skewer, leave to stand for at least 5 minutes
  2. Turn on the teppanyaki grill and allow the surface to heat thoroughly
  3. Once heated, place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2 – 3 minutes, turning once
  4. In a large serving bowl, mix the lettuce leaves, watermelon, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese
  5. Plate up the salad and serve with the prawn skewers
