Slow Cooker Paleo Pork Stew

This is one of those saviour recipes where you just chuck everything in – no browning, no messing around – just chop and chuck in. This slow cooker paleo pork stew takes just 10 minutes to prep and 10 hours of slow cooking time.

Cheat & Eat Paleo Pork Stew


  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • A bulb of garlic, minced
  • 2 large carrots, chopped
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • Pork shoulder joint, cut into smallish chunks
  • 1 tsp green peppercorns
  • 1 tsp dried chives
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp tarragon
  • 3 tsp parsley
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 small cabbage, finely chopped

For the marinara

  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp parsley



  1. Add the onions, garlic and carrots to your slow cooker and season liberally with salt and pepper
  2. In a large bowl add the chopped pork and add all of the seasoning; toss until well coated
  3. Add the pork to the slow cooker and cover with the chopped cabbage
  4. In a bowl, combine all of the marinara ingredients: the chopped tomatoes, diced onions, minced garlic, basil and parsley; once combined, pour over the cabbage and season with more salt and pepper
  5. Cook in your slow cooker for 10 hours on low
  6. Dish up!
