Sweet, sticky with a zesty tang: sink your teeth into these succulent spare ribs. Leisurely prepare in your slow cooker for achingly tender meat.
- 1.5kg spare ribs
- 1 tbsp chilli flakes
- 200ml hoisin sauce
- 4 tbsp honey
- 50ml rice wine
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Combine the ginger, garlic, chilli flakes, hoisin sauce, honey and rice wine in a large bowl.
- Add the ribs and mix until the sauce coats them.
- Add everything to the slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on the high setting or 8 hours on the low.
