Wake Up Pancake Breakfast

Good morning sunshine! Wake up bright and early – and tuck into this pancake breakfast. Fluffy, filling, covered in honey and topped with bananas. With this recipe, you’ve got Sunday breakfast, brunch or lunch sorted.

Pancake Breakfast


  • 150g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 130ml milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Chopped bananas
  • Honey



  1. In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and caster sugar
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and egg, then mix in the melted butter
  3. Pour the milk mixture in with the dry ingredients and using a fork, or an electric whisk, beat until you have a smooth batter
  4. Let the batter stand for a few minutes
  5. Heat up your VonShef Crepe Maker and add a knob of butter; when the butter is melted, add 3 separate ladles of batter (to form 3 pancakes) to the hot surface. The batter should look thicker than your average pancake batter
  6. As soon as the top of the pancakes begin to bubble, flip over and cook until both sides are golden brown
  7. Repeat until the batter is used up
  8. Top with chopped bananas and a good dollop of honey
