No-Sugar Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt

Intensely fruity and deliciously creamy: skip its store-bought counterpart and whip up your own no-sugar strawberry frozen yoghurt. Tastes just as good as it looks.

Fruity Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt


550g strawberries
500g pot Greek yogurt
397g can evaporated milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
200ml double cream
Handful cherries and blueberries


  1. Put most of the strawberries in your blender (leave a handful out) and blitz until you’ve got a smooth purée
  2. Chop the remaining strawberries into small pieces and leave to one side
  3. Add the yoghurt, evaporated milk and vanilla to the blender and mix until combined
  4. Pour the double cream into a large bowl and lightly whip until it’s just holding its shape. Add the strawberry mixture and fold together with a spatula. Once mixed, stir in the chopped strawberries
  5. Pour into a container and freeze for at least 4 hours until solid
  6. Remove from the freezer and leave for 5 – 10 minutes; scoop out and serve with fresh cherries and blueberries

    Is this ok for my son who has diabetes1 ? Would the yoghurt & fruit mixture freeze without the added carb in cream & evap making it more diabetes friendly???

      Hi Sue,

      The frozen yoghurt and fruit mixture should still freeze but you won't get as creamy a texture. What you could do is add a chopped frozen banana to the blender to get that creamy consistency. Here's our step-by-step guide here:
