When we heard that a local food bank was in need of donations, our team got involved. We went home, rummaged in cupboards, stocked up at the shops and brought a hefty number of items into the office the next morning.
Tea bags, rice pudding, instant coffee, jams, tinned meats, long life milk. In just one day, our team brought in nearly £200 worth of food – all handed over to the Salford Food Bank, which is part of the Trussel Trust.
Over 1 million people used a food bank in the last year and that number is growing every day. As part of our ethos to do some good, we want to do what we can to help the hidden hungry and homeless in our community. These are the people that struggle to put food on the table and sometimes, a roof over their heads.
Hopefully our donation has helped feed local people in crisis.
