For the cake

  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp flaked almonds

For the buttercream icing

  • 75g butter
  • 550g sifted icing sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

  1. Crush the Oreos in a food processor until fine and crumbly, take out a small handful and leave to one side
  2. Place the rest of the crushed Oreos into a large stand mixer and add the milk, baking powder, baking soda and slivered almonds. Mix thoroughly
  3. Coat the inside of your air fryer’s cooking pot or baking tray lightly with oil
  4. Pour the cake mixture into the cooking pot / baking tray
  5. Set air fryer to 200°C and bake for 8 minutes
  6. Take the cake out of the air fryer and allow to cool
  7. To make the icing: in a bowl, or stand mixer, beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add half of the icing sugar, beating well
  8. Slowly beat in the half of the milk, vanilla and remaining sugar until you have buttercream
  9. Once the cake has cooled, spread the buttercream across the top and sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos
  10. Slice and enjoy!
