Gone are the days of your personal music player and speakers having to be within touching distance of each other. With the eSecure WiFi Audio Receiver you can wirelessly play music through your home sound system from any room in the house.
It’s simple. Once you’ve connected the receiver to your chosen audio equipment via a 3.5mm Aux cable, you can use your mobile device, PC or laptop to stream music and audio files over your home WiFi network.
There’s no need for batteries either, the Audio Receiver comes with a USB cable that plugs into all standard ports and chargers, giving you the scope for endless playback.
The eSecure WiFi Audio Receiver is suitable for use with all modern devices. Those using Apple iOS will be ready and connected to the Audio Receiver in just two clicks, thanks to the integrated Airplay option on their devices. Android users are required to download a one-off, totally free app, such as BubbleUpnp, before they get started.
Extend and Boost your WiFi range
Not only does the Audio Receiver connect to your WiFi network, it actually extends the signal and broadens the coverage within the home. For example, should your internet router be in a downstairs room of the house, by plugging the Audio Receiver into an audio outlet upstairs, you will receive a stronger connection to the internet than you would normally and it won’t disrupt the streaming of your favourite music.
Why not Bluetooth?
The eSecureudio Receiver uses WiFi streaming in favour of Bluetooth, because, essentially, it’s better. With WiFi streaming, the quality of sound and speed at which the data is transmitted is far higher and quicker than that of a Bluetooth connection. To put this in to technical terms, the transmission rate on a WiFi connection compared to Bluetooth is a maximum of 150 Mbps (megabits per second) to a maximum of 3 Mbps. Likewise for sound quality, WiFi’s 32 Mbps far out muscles Bluetooth’s mere 768 Kbps (kilobits per second), a speed that doesn’t even cover standard CD-quality audio.
Another benefit to WiFi is its range. Not only does it have a far wider transmission range compared to Bluetooth, but it also passes through walls a lot easier. With a Bluetooth connection there is a much higher chance that the sound will be distorted the further away from the receiver you move. This is not an issue with a Wifi receiver.
It really is clear to see that, if you’re looking for a high standard of music streaming, a WiFi connection is the way to go.
