Experienced slow cooker chef and, vegetarian newbie, David tried out the VonShef 3.5L model. He found the item so easy to use that he didn’t need the instruction manual at all…
What dish did you put together?
I’ve very recently become a vegetarian so I wanted to try some meat-free versions of my favourite meals. This weekend I put together a potato and chickpea curry – it was really tasty. Definitely something to be cooked again.
How easy was this to make?
Ridiculously easy – it was basically chop and chuck in. I didn’t even need to use the instruction manual – it’s more of a safety guide, which is pretty common sense anyway.
Was there any issues? Or parts you found fiddly?
There wasn’t a medium heat setting. I’ve had a few slow cookers over the years and they sometimes have one. It’s not a massive issue – you just switch between high and low options when cooking.
What was the product’s standout quality?
It’s very stylish, lightweight and extremely easy to clean.
