Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders

 Take BBQ pulled pork to the next level with these tender, tangy Asian-inspired sliders. A succulent mix of sweet and savoury, achingly tender pork - cooked to slow perfection. A great addition to any BBQ or summer party; serve with lightly toasted buns and heaps and heaps of homemade slaw.

Slow Cooked Pulled Pork Sliders

 Ingredients


1 boneless pork shoulder
100ml hoisin sauce
175g honey
100ml balsamic vinegar
100mlchicken broth
1 large onion, diced
1 tbsp corn flour
3 cloves minced garlic
Coleslaw
12 mini slider buns, split and toasted

Method


  1. Use a knife to cut away any excess fat from the pork shoulder then transfer to your slow cooker
  2. Combine honey, chicken broth, vinegar, hoisin sauce, garlic and onion in a bowl. Whisk until fully blended then pour over the pork shoulder. Replace slow cooker lid
  3. Set your slow cooker to low and cook for around 8 hours
  4. Remove the pork shoulder from the slow cooker using tongs and transfer to a chopping board. Shred the pork with a fork and place in a large bowl
  5. Use a separate bowl to mix corn flour with 3 tablespoons of cold water
  6. Pour mixture into a medium sized pan along with the juices left in the slow cooker. Set on the hob and cook over a medium-high heat. Bring to the boil then cook on a lower heat for a further 2-3 minutes to thicken the sauce
  7. Remove from the hob and pour over the pulled pork; mix to combine
  8. Split and toast slider buns. Divide pork evenly over bottom halves and top with coleslaw
