3 Ingredient Shortbread Biscuits

You can’t beat a good-old fashioned shortbread biscuit. Light, buttery and oh-so-sweet, these melt-in-your-mouth biscuits pair perfectly with a good pot of tea.

3 Ingredient Shortbread Biscuits

Ingredients


100g caster sugar
225g salted butter
240g plain flour

Method


  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C / 350°F/ Gas Mark 4
  2. Grease a baking tray with butter or coconut oil
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together
  4. Add flour and mix to a dough consistency, if the mixture is too dry, try adding a couple of tablespoons of water. Using your hands, form the dough into a ball
  5. Lightly flour your work surface and roll the dough out evenly until around ¼ inch thick
  6. Use a biscuit cutter or press down with an upturned glass to cut out rounds
  7. Place on prepared baking tray and bake for 20 – 25 minutes, or until golden brown
