2 Minute Salted Caramel Mug Cake

In just two minutes, whip up the most deliciously decadent salted caramel mug cake. Perfect for post-Great British Bake Off cake cravings.

Salted Caramel Mug Cake 2

Ingredients


1 egg
4 tbsp plain flour
4 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp rock salt
3 tbsp full fat milk
1 tbsp butter
2 caramel pieces

Method


  1. In a mug, crack the egg and add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, milk, and butter. Mix to combine
  2. Drop the caramels into the centre of the mixture one at a time
  3. Microwave on high for one minute and 30 seconds then tuck in. If the cake batter is still gooey, microwave for another 30 seconds
  4. Add a little extra with whipped cream and chocolate shavings
